I have been spending the last few days tweaking some bag designs. On Sunday I finished another bag. This one is larger than the blue one I made for Erica. I used gray canvas for the exterior and red stripes 100% cotton for the interior. I placed 2 pockets inside (one on each side) and it has a magnetic snap closure.
Dimension of the bag is about 13.5" opening, 14" tall, 16" bottom, 3.5" flat bottom, and the handle is 21" long. Very roomy!!! Perfect for a diaper bag. I plan on making more of these but with more pockets (perhaps 5 or 6) and different fabrics choices. They'll be on my etsy
shop soon!

i LOVE your bag!! i am sooo in to the nautical type theme right now and fits it perfectly! i love how you used canvas material, very sturdy for a bag! I've only sewn things with fabric but I should try on canvas sometime!

You should definitely try making canvas bag. I used heavyweight fusible interfacing on the canvas and same for the interior fabric. It's a very, very sturdy bag!
When you sew using canvas, make sure you change your needle specifically used to sew thicker fabric.
